We’ve had hundreds of cases where we’ve been hired as private investigators for celebrities. Clients have included everyone from A-list movie stars, to rock and roll legends, billionaires, to big name rap artists, elite athletes, and Fortune 500 CEOs. We have provided services for and against many “one-named celebrities.”
The cases have run the gamut from surveillances, supporting divorce attorneys, asset searches, cheating spouse investigations, background checks, bug sweeps – across every service we offer, we’ve probably done it for a celebrity name that you know.
In this post, I talk about private investigation for celebrities, and what happens when someone is actively out to destroy their name, or yours.
You don’t have to be a celebrity to relate to this
Celebrities have signed up for lives in the limelight, and they hire experts to keep at least some parts of their lives private and hidden from the public eye. When something does surface about a celebrity, they have publicists and advisors to help them handle the press and spin the situation as best they can.
You might remember Lindsay Lohan’s “conquest” list that was leaked to the media. When something like this happens to an actress like Lohan, who’s made some out-of-the-norm career and life choices, you may not have a lot of sympathy. However, think for a moment what you would do and how you would feel if something like this happened to you.
You don’t have to be a celebrity to relate to this. Whether it’s an ex, a deranged stranger, a former employee, or someone else who has a grudge against you, if sensitive information gets into the wrong hands, your personal life could be ruined. Imagine if someone managed to get their hands on risqué photos of you and sent them to your boss or your coworkers. It would be devastating to your work life and could even mean losing your job.
Stopping the damage from spreading
If someone is taking photos of you without your permission and/or spreading rumors or leaking personal information about you, you can go to the police. However, they’re often powerless to actually stop this person from doing anything to you. What can you do to stop the damage from spreading? This is where calling a private investigator can help.
We’ve seen a lot of cases like this at Martin Investigative Services, and we know that your reputation is important to you, both personally and professionally. You don’t want your past (or lies about you) to affect your future. So, in a case like this, we’ll first look at how to cut your stalker off from you.
Your stalker has you under surveillance. He (or she) may be parked outside your home or office with a camera, or he may have further invaded your privacy. If he’s gotten access to sensitive information about you, you might consider that he has figured out a way to tap your phone or bug your home, office, or car. This is generally known as “bugging” to the general public. Determining if you are “bugged” is known in the public arena as conducting “bug sweeps” or technically in our world as “electronic eavesdropping detection sweeps.” Visit our totally dedicated website to this subject matter at www.bugsweepteam.com.
Bug sweeps
To ensure that no one is listening in on you, we can perform a full sweep on your home, car, and/or office for audio and video bugs, microphones, transmitters, and cameras.
If someone is spying on you or listening in to your private conversations, we can not only take away their eyes and ears into your home, we can attempt to provide evidence of the crime so the offender is punished.
If you think you are under surveillance, we can perform counter-surveillance techniques to identify the perpetrators.
As former Federal agents, we are all very familiar with the law and your rights. We can bring stalkers to justice. Unlike Lindsay Lohan and other celebrities, you don’t have to sit in silence if elements of your private life get made public.
You may not have the money for a security team and publicist, but you can still get the help you need and deserve.
